Specially formulated to be high in the specific amino acids which stimulate lactogenesis (induction of milk synthesis).

Rumen buffer and yeast culture to improve rumen function, nutrition and general health of cows in the transition period prior to calving.

Fortified with a unique blend of nutrients including organic micro-minerals, these pellets aid immunity, metabolism and reproduction efficiency. Added anionic salts help lower the DCAD value of the feed ration, which has a significant impact on reducing the risk of milk fever (hypocalcaemia), grass tetany (hypomagnesemia) and other associated metabolic disorders.

Protein

Nutritious soyabean and canola meals are great sources of rumen degradable and escape proteins, which are digested in the small intestine rather than the rumen giving superior nutrient availability.

Proteins provide amino acids which contribute to a healthy immune system, and are vital for dry matter intake (DMI) and milk protein synthesis.

Rumen Degradable Starch

Wholegrain rice is gluten free and a great source of easily digestible starch which provides fuel for rumen microbes. Rice is combined with selected quality cereal grains, to provide a feed rich in readily available energy to the microbial population in the rumen, for an increased volume of propionic acid, an essential blood glucose precursor.

 

Rumen Escape Starsh

Rumen escape starch bypasses the rumen and is transported through to the small intestine, where it is converted to glucose. The glucose can then enter the bloodstream and be converted into lactose, which is the basis of milk production.

Anionic Salts

In late pregnancy anionic salts help lower the DCAD value of rations. This helps reduce the risk of hypocalcaemia (milk fever), which can result in loss of muscle and nerve function, and predisposes the cow to disorders such as ketosis, retained placenta, displacement of the abomasum and mastitis.

Rumen Buffer

As we transition from high fibre to high energy rations, an effective rumen buffer helps stabilise rumen pH, improving fibre digestion and reducing the risk of sub-acute ruminal acidosis (SARA) and the potential pathway into clinical acidosis.

Palatants

Successfully increasing dry matter intake (DMI) reliant on sound nutrient delivery. In addition to this, pelletised feeds also need to present well, be aromatically pleasing and have an appealing taste. Research continues to identify the best flavours to support DMI in mature cows.

 

Macro-minerals

Balancing macro-mineral delivery across the entire ration is critical to prevent metabolic diseases. Magnesium plays a role in calcium mobilisation and muscle function. Calcium and phosphorus are critical for strong bones and mobilisation.

 

Micro-minerals

Selenium for immunity, zinc for tissue repair and cobalt for energy production. Copper supports blood formation, while iron aids oxygen transport. Iodine to help metabolic rate regulation and chromium to aid tissue receptiveness to insulin.

Vitamins

Vitamin A supports immunity and eye health. Vitamin D aids calcium and phosphorus absorption. Vitamin E supports, cardiovascular and reproductive functions. B vitamins assist in the generation of energy for growth.

 

Yeast Culture

Diamond V XPC® is one of the most researched rumen modifiers and provides an insight into the ‘next generation’ of natural feed ingredients. It has been repeatedly shown to support increased DMI, rumen pH and adaptive immune function.

Feeding Instructions

  • Ensure livestock always have access to clean, cool and fresh water.
  • During periods of poor pasture quality additional supplementary feeding will be necessary to achieve lightweight targets.
  • CopRice Lac Cycle Lead Feed Concentrate Pellets are not a complete feed, they should be mixed with 2-3kg of processed cereal grains and offered as part of a total balanced ration.
