CopRice 16% Lamb Feedlot Pellets

CopRice 16% Lamb Feedlot Pellets are designed to be fed to lambs in a feedlot situation with access to little or no pasture. The CopRice 16% Lamb Feedlot ration will help to maximize growth rates allowing animals to reach market specifications earlier.

It is important when feeding lambs to introduce concentrate slowly over 2 weeks and provided access to hay or good quality straw at all times.

Lambs fed in a feedlot should always have a constant feed supply as running out can cause rumen upsets.

Urinary Calculi (blocked urethra due to stones) can be a problem in sheep on intensive fattening rations. To help reduce the incidences of Urinary Calculi, CopRice 16% Lamb Feedlot ration has:

• Included a high level of calcium with no added phosphorus or magnesium.
• Included a high level of salt.
• Added ammonium chloride to reduce urine pH.

Be sure not to put copper or magnesium in sheep feed.

CopRice recommends maintaining a regular drench and vaccinating program in order to maximise growth rates. Clean drinking water should be provided at all times.
