NutriRice #2 Show & Competition

A very safe feed for horses that are ridden hard, regularly or in training for show and competition. This feed can be mixed with other NutriRice feeds prior to or after periods of more strenuous exercise when an increasing or declining plane of nutrition is required.

Description

A scientifically formulated and nutritionally balanced steam extruded complete feed based largely on rice bran. Manufactured from and fortified with only the highest quality ingredients, vitamins and minerals specifically for horses in medium levels of activity.

This product has a high fat level and unique polyunsaturated fatty acids that produce coat shine and bloom.

The combination of rice bran as the principal ingredient plus the extrusion cooking means that this feed is extremely palatable and digestible. As it is so digestible and being based on rice bran, it is an extremely cool feed and will not heat horses when fed in accordance with directions.

Contains 8.5% rice bran oil, naturally occurring in the rice bran, which is the equivalent of 95 ml of rice bran oil per 1 kg. An average feed of 3 kg contains over 280 mls of rice bran oil, which means that there is no need to add additional oil supplements.

Feeding Rates

This feed is designed to be fed as a complete feed to horses and has been formulated to be fed in conjunction with good quality pasture of pasture hay.

These feeding rates are intended as a guide only. The quantity individual horses require will depend on the quality of your pasture/hay, stage of training, intensity of exercise and body condition of your horse.

Notes

• Weigh your horse or use a “CopRice Horse Weight Estimator” (available from your CopRice produce merchant or feed retailer) to gain an accurate estimate of your horses weight prior to feeding to ensure correct feeding rates.
• NutriRice #2 Show & Competition should be incorporated into the diet gradually over a period of 14 - 21 days.
• Always ensure that horses have access to cool clean water at all times.
• The feeding levels listed in the table above are based on good quality pasture or pasture hay. If pasture quality is poor it is recommended that some lucerne chaff/hay and or some white chaff be used as an extra fibre source.
• These feeding rates are intended as a guide only. The quantity individual horses require will depend on the quality of your pasture/hay, stage of training, intensity of exercise and body condition of your horse.
• It is recommended that feed be weighed prior to feeding to ensure that overfeeding or underfeeding doesn’t occur.

It is designed to be fed in conjunction with good quality pasture, pasture hay and some lucerne hay-chaff/white hay-chaff if required.
