- Weigh your horse or use a “CopRice Horse Weight
Estimator” (available from your CopRice produce merchant
or feed retailer) to gain an accurate estimate of your
horses weight prior to feeding to ensure correct feeding
rates.
- CopRice Cool Conditioner Horse & Pony Pellets should
be incorporated into the diet gradually over a period
of 14 – 21 days.
- Always ensure that horses have access to cool clean
water at all times.
- The feeding levels listed in the table above are
based on good quality pasture or pasture hay. If pasture
quality is poor it is recommended that some Lucerne
chaff / hay and or some white chaff be used as an extra
fibre source.
- It is recommended that you always weigh your horses feed to ensure that over feeding or under feeding does not occur.
- If more that 2 kg per day is being fed it is recommended
that the feed be split into 2 feeds and the
horse fed twice per day.
