NutriRice Racing Edge

NutriRice Racing Edge is the latest addition to the NutriRice stable. As with all other NutriRice new generation horse feeds, NutriRice Racing Edge has been developed using the latest industry research and steam extrusion process. NutriRice Racing Edge provides your horse with a high energy rice based formula designed specifically for horses involved in racing (both thoroughbred and Arabian horse) and harness racing. It is formulated with a balanced combination of carbohydrates and oils to promote the storage and conservation of muscle glycogen, ensuring that time to fatigue is prolonged and providing glucose to fuel muscles for bursts of speed to the finish.

Description

A scientifically formulated and nutritionally balanced steam extruded complete feed based largely on rice bran and rice. Manufactured from and fortified with only the highest quality ingredients, vitamins and minerals specifically for horses in intensive activity.

The combination of rice bran and rice as the principal ingredients plus the extrusion cooking means that this feed is extremely palatable and digestible. As it is so digestible and being based on rice bran, it is an extremely cool feed and will not heat horses when fed in accordance with directions.

• Minimised weight handicap – because NutriRice Racing Edge is high in energy (15.9 mj DE / kg) less feed is required, thus the amount carried in the horses gut is minimised

Feeding Rates

NutriRice Racing Edge is designed to be fed to horses in training and racing. This feed is formulated to be fed in conjunction with good quality forage sources including lucerne, grass and oaten / wheaten chaff or hay.

Note: - horses must receive a minimum of 1% bodyweight in hay, chaff and or pasture per day

These feeding rates are intended as a guide only. The quantity individual horses require will depend on the quality of your pasture/hay, stage of training, intensity of exercise and body condition of your horse.

Notes

• Weigh your horse or use a “CopRice Horse Weight Estimator” (available from your CopRice produce merchant or feed retailer) to gain an accurate estimate of your horses weight prior to feeding to ensure correct feeding rates.
• Always ensure that horses have access to cool, clean drinking water and a plain salt lick at all times.
• Electrolyte replacement therapy may be required following strenuous exercise and excessive sweating.
• Consult with your nutritionist or veterinarian prior to including any additional supplements in the diet.
• NutriRice Racing Edge should be incorporated into the diet gradually over a period of 14 - 21 days.
• These feeding rates are intended as a guide only. The quantity individual horses require will depend on the quality of your pasture/hay, stage of training, intensity of exercise and body condition of your horse.
• It is recommended that feed be weighed prior to feeding to ensure that over feeding or underfeeding doesn’t occur.
