November News 2010

Gosh what a few months we have had! WEG, Adelaide CCI**** backed up with Equitana.

Just home from Equitana and what a fabulous equine affair! Covering all aspects of the equine world, if you have not been to Equitana then put it on the ‘to do list’ for 2011 in Sydney. (watch this space) the 4 day event is full on for every equine enthusiast:  With Coprice’s ‘NutriRice’ sponsoring the main pavilion offering full time exposure in all the event riding classes and a dynamic stand in the Epsom pavilion it was  busy! Stuart spent many hours signing Coprice posters, Nature Vet fridge magnets, Horseland, EA and Bates visits it was hard to fit it all in! No time for shopping! Just a quick plug for the Bates new Isabelle saddle which is just sensational. We have all ridden in it and we must commend Bates on their new Isabelle. Horseland stores have it in stock now, certainly worth a sit. Thank you to all our main sponsors mentioned, Equitana was a great chance to catch up with you all.

The Australian International 3de in Adelaide we are all very pleased with Sarah Ballard’s Watermark Grayson finishing 5th in the CCI**** and Olivia Bunn’s GV Anzac 7th in the CIC**.

Stuart had a great ride on Watermark Grayson and was one of only two riders to go clear and under time in the cross country section.  Stuart said: ‘The course rode really well – the time was tight so I had to push on towards the end of the course but when I asked for more, he moved up a gear. It was really slippery in places but Grayson stayed really focused. When I got back, I discovered that two studs on the inside of each back shoe had sheared off but he has pulled up fit and well and I’m really happy with him’. This was Grayson’s first 4 Star cross country and it was certainly impressive them finishing in 2nd place with less than one rail between him and the leader after the cross country. Grayson pulled up very well.

Stuart also had a great ride on Olivia Bunn’s GV Anzac (above) to finish 7th in the CIC** (photo credit: horse deals/Julie Wilson.) Stuart was in limelight as the winner of the Peppermint Grove Memorial Trophy for the most outstanding Event horse of the year with Vettori, his WEG mount and last year’s winner of the Australian 3DE, owned by Peter O’Connell and Kathy Ward.

Berrima is this weekend with our girls! Jaymee and Gemma. Stuart will also take on the pre-novice with Koyuna Levi!

Our Christmas news will be next! Take care from all at TE.
