Showtym Update, October 2012:

We have had an amazing start to the season with top wins and placing. We have just returned from 10 days campaigning in the lower north island and over the six days of competition we had 36 wins and placings.

At the ***Hawkes Bay Show the team had 10 wins and 10 placings, these included Showtym Levado GNZ winning the 1.40m Championship, Amanda and Showtym Viking winning the 1.25m Welcome Stakes and also the ***Young Rider, Wurlitzer taking out top honours in the 1.35m Power and Speed and 2nd in the 1.30m Championship, Showtym Stardust and Showtym Vision finishing 1st= in the 6-year-old class. We had a number of other top wins and placings with the Showtym Team... Gaining the horses valuable points on the National leader boards.

At ***Masterton Show Jumping we had another successful show with another 16 wins and placings. Vicki won the 7yr Old and the Speed Championship on her stallion Levado GNZ, placed 5th in the Grand Prix on Ngahiwi Showtym Premier and 2nd, 4th and 5th in 1.20 Welcome Stakes. Amanda and Showtym Viking were also spectacular and placed 2nd in the Young Rider and then jumped in their first ever SUPER LEAUGE (1.40-1.60m). Many of the jumps were higher than the pony and they flew around the course with just two rails down :)

Kelly also had a great weekend with 4 wins and placing on her mare Ngahiwi Showtym Dancer placing 3rd and 6th in their Amateur Rider classes.

sponsoredThe girls had a lot of positive comments about how professional and smart the Showtym Team looked, hugely thanks to our gorgeous collection of sponsored clothing, making the riders and grooms look like a unified and polished team.

We have the **Norhtland Show this weekend, followed by Amanda competing at the ***Kihikihi show and Vicki spending three days as one of the leading clinicians at Equidays. We will have a trade stand on sight and Vicki is breaking in a horse in front of the public eye and also doing demonstrations on the wild Kaimanawas which were mustered out the the ranges in June, jumping a car on Ngahiwi Showtym XL and bareback and bridleless presentations of Showtym Cascade and Showtym Spotlight. It will be a very busy few days and a great marketing tool for everyone.

Kelly has just taken out Highly Commended Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Runner Up People’s Choice at the New Zealand Geographic Awards last night for her photo of the wild horses being mustered in. There has been articles on us in every issue of the New Zealand Horse and Pony for the past 4-5 months which will be ongoing. It is a very exciting time for us and our camps and show jumping clinics have been in huge demand.
