Stuart Tinney October News

July News

June saw a few surprises here at Tinney Eventing! Our very fabulous Orchard Hill pulled out a cracker result at Melbourne International 3DE with a 4th in the CCI***!  We certainly were very impressed with the event and its hospitality, a big thanks to the event and their sponsors. Orchard has been with us since he was 2 years old and was bred by Beth Turner out of her Sterling Sprite Stallion. Beth has bred some very successful horses to Eventing. Adelaide Hill (Christine Bates) is Orchards full brother!

Orchard in the final show jumping, where he went clear with no time.
Orchard will now campaign at the 3 star level this year and hopefully he will get the experience needed to compete in the World Class arena for the years ahead.

More exciting news is the rise of our daughter Jaymee in the one star classes. With a 5th at Equestriad CIC* OPEN (1st Junior) and then this weekend a 3rd CIC* OPEN at the National Championships Berrima (1st Junior which makes her The Australian Junior Champion!) With these results on Nidhi Dev’s Murrabong Kinganui Jaymee will be outdoing her father soon! To read Jaymee’s ‘famous’ blog go to  it is a fun read! She really is famous now! Being also on Equestrian Life’s face book and twitter!

We would just like to add that King is not young (18 this August) and what a star! Powered by Coprice NutriRice all the way! (Plus a little help from Cosequin!)
You just got to love these products!

Huge news (well according to Gemma!) is the purchase of her new horse ‘Mighty Midget” from Victoria. (Finally I hear her sigh!) Mighty Midget a one star horse (15.3 measured!) and was bought from Simon Tanish (the owner Rachael Cocks) and what a find! “Midge” is everything Simon and Rachael said! Thanks... I can’t tell you how important it is to have an honest seller!

Gemma has spent many hours in the saddle! From National Park rides (all day!) to riding club. Gemma is doing her first event in a few weeks!

Karen has just started her new role with Equestrian Life magazine as Advertising Manager... Sounds like lots of fun!

Life continues to be busy here at Tinney Eventing with many horses now heading to The Deloitte Adelaide International CCI**** in November.

Stuart is in London attending the Olympic test Event at Greenwich (yes he too is blogging his news on
