Tamworth World Cup Showjumping Qualifier at AELEC

CopRice was proud to be the major sponsors of the Tamworth World Cup Showjumping Qualifier on Saturday night in the CopRice Arena at AELEC. The atmosphere was electric with the 2000 plus crowd treated to a world class jumping exhibition.

Congratulations to James Arkin on Da Vincis Pride who took out first place on the final ride of the night jumping clear in a time of 48.590. In second place and throwing down a challenge with all of his experience early on in the jump off was Chris Chugg on Cera Cassiago with the only other clear round and a time of 50.460. Third place went to Steven Hill on Yalambi's Bellini Star after knocking the final rail on the CopRice Jump in the best time of the night 46.140. Olivia Hamood and Clem Smith rounded out the top 5 with great times of 47.720 and 50.420 but both unfortunately with 4 penalties. Overall, congratulations to all competitors for their sportsmanship and professionalism over the four days.

This event does not just happen, a great deal of thanks needs to go to Greg Backhouse and the professional team at the North & Northwest Showjumping Club for putting on the world class event, along with all officials and volunteers.
