Lee Jamieson, from Clarence Point in Northern Tasmania, is currently the President of the Tasmanian Working Sheepdog Association, a position which he has held since 2006. Lee has a strong vision for the future of Sheepdog Trials both at home in Tasmania and Nationally. Competing in trials from the age of 14 (18 Years ago) Lee has won many events in several classes of competition a highlight in Lee’s career results was placing in the top 20 with two dogs in the 2007 Supreme Australian Championships, in QLD. Lee has been instrumental in the growth of Sheepdog trials nationally and takes great pride in his many achievements. As President of the Tasmanian Association and Delegate on the Australian Association Lee was elected Chairman of the 2008 Supreme Australian Championships and Trans Tasman Test competitions which were held in Launceston at York Park. Both events were a huge success and went a long way to reaching the high standards that Lee sets as a minimum when organising events. There is no doubt that Lee and his Tasmanian members and supporters have set a new benchmark in excellence for other Australian states and New Zealand to aspire to when running future National and International Sheepdog trials. Lee contributes a large part of his success in his sport of Sheepdog Trials to the ongoing support from his loyal sponsor CopRice.
