Hugh Buchanan is an up and coming showjumping rider from Ardlethan, NSW. Sam has been riding from a very early age on the family property and then at the Coolamon District Pony Club. Now Hugh is performing at junior State and National events with some great results. Hugh is coached by Helen and Chris Chugg of Diamond B Farms, and is keen to become a Grand Prix rider and to compete at the highest level.

Achievements:

• NSW Under 13 and Under 15 State Champion Showjumper
• Best Boy Rider over jumps 2007
• Pony Club Nationals 2007 – 2nd in Individuals and winning team
• Sydney Royal, Juniors, 2008 – 2nd place

Current team of horses – Smirnoff Ice, Mukoora’s On Ice (Saint Barrett), Diamond B Carla.
