Our CopRice Beef Maintainer is designed to be fed to cattle on limited pasture or in a lot-feeding situation. The pellet is a balanced ration containing calcium, phosphorus, buffers, monensin and vitamins & minerals. Guidelines for feeding cows - Cattle will generally eat 3-4% of their body weight per day
- Introduce any concentrate slowly over 2-3 weeks
- Make sure all animals can get access to all feeds
- To minimize digestive upsets such as acidosis it is imperative to feed at least 25% roughage in the diet (hay, silage or straw)
- Monensin and rumen buffers have been included to minimize digestive upsets such as acidosis and encourage improved feed conversion efficiency
- Maintain a regular drench and vaccinating program in order to maximize growth rates
- Clean drinking water should be provided at all times
